Fertility & IVF support
The average length of time that most couples take to conceive is around 6 months and figures suggest that around one in four couples suffer from some degree of infertility. The most frequent cause of unexplained infertility or hormonal imbalance is energy stagnation or blocked qi, which affects blood flow in the pelvic area. Many years of emotional stress, depression, frustration, overwork, improper diet and lifestyle often play a major role in energy congestion. Many factors affecting fertility such as recurrent miscarriage, PCOS, endometriosis and irregular menstrual cycles can all be treated with acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
ACUPUNCTURE FOR IVF (& IUI, ICSI)
Renae has treated many women with acupuncture throughout their IVF process with amazing results. The whole treatment process gives your body the best opportunity to release quality eggs, develop a lush womb lining and feel as relaxed as possible, in order to give your embryo the best opportunity to implant and grow. Acupuncture treatment for IVF and assisted reproduction ranges from preconception care, to treatments before and after embryo transfer, to a course of treatment leading up to an IVF cycle and continuing afterwards to support pregnancy.

FERTILITY SPIKE FROM ACUPUNCTURE
Women having IVF treatment can boost their chances of falling pregnant by 65 precent simply by having acupuncture. A review combining the results of seven previous studies has found that Acupuncture also increases the chances of having an ongoing pregnancy (beyond 12 weeks gestation) by 87 percent and nearly doubles the chance of a successful live birth, increasing that by 91 precent. In all of the studies, together involving 1366 women, acupuncture was given within 24 hours of the embryo being implanted in the women’s wombs. From the results of the studies it has been suggested that thew acupuncture may help by stimulating fertility hormones, increasing blood flow to the uterus and reducing stress.
